Curb Your Sarcasm [Review]

After months of promises and push backs, Fuze B finally releases Curb Your Sarcasm to the general public. I gave the project a few (hundred, well not a hundred but there was a lot) listens. I would have had this posted had someone gave a proper release date. I’m just playing but here are my thoughts of CYS:

1. Gemini and Radio drops – Co-signs from local dj’s.

2. Curb Your Sarcasm Start – Fuze’s attacks this track and tells listeners that ‘he’s not conforming for no one.’ This track instantly had me pressing the rewind button when after hearing the few bars.

3. Hater Hi-Ya – This is a song for the haters. Well Fuze addresses those that refuse to show love and just leaves this track in shambles. Haters how ya doing?

4. Rumble Muzik – Fuze throws combos flows as he rumbles over this 2Toxic track. This track will wake you up if you’re still sleeping.

5. Shark Week – This particular track stands out to me as Fuze displays a hunger for being the most excellent among his peers which commonly lost in rappers as of late.

6. DJ Soundwave Interlude – Interlude where he makes fun of Fuze even suggests that his name sounds like a dance. Do the Fuuuuuuuuzzzzzeeeeee HEY!!!!!

7. Yahtzee – Fuze talks his shit over Jay-Z’s “So Ghetto” track. This track was a late addition to this version of CYS.

8. I Stole Lex Beat – Fuze pulls a jack move and assassinates Lex’s beat. Lex should’ve just said fuck it and handed it over.

9. 4 My… – One of my favorites on CYS that shows Fuze spitting for those that are on their grind from sunrise to sunset.

10. DJ Reem Drop – Another co-sign for Fuze.

11. I’m At The Bar – If you’ve ever hung out with Fuze, then you should know how it is in the clubs with him. This track clearly describes that.

12. Celebrate Life feat. Asi Frio – Asi and Fuze celebrates the snob life as they do best. This was my first time hearing Frio rhyming on this track and I’ll be checking for his music in the future.

13. I’m A Rapper Skit – Tony Roberts explains to us how he’s ready to rap. That didn’t end well.

14. Amazing Grace Holy Ghost – Fuze zones out on mics – blacks out even on the first half of this track then wakes up people that slept on him with E. Honda slaps on the second half.

15. Be Alright – A Scrilla produced track where Fuze goes from rags to riches.

16. All The Things feat. JR Ewin – Fuze and JR both attack their private demons on this track.

17. What Changed feat. Kellye Lo – Fuze goes at the ladies that dissed him in the past but then when the status changes, so does their intentions.

18. Always Got Time feat. Rickie Jacobs & Janerio – Fuze and Rickie reaches out to the ladies that claim there is never any time made for them.

19. Carry Out feat. Janerio – A track for those that think shit is sweet with Fuze.

20. Tearz feat. The Dramatics – Am emotional fueled track to an ex but we won’t let you see him cry.

21. Last Wordz feat. Casey & Bas – A send off to relationships gone bad

22. DJ Booman Drop – Last DJ co-sign for Fuze

23. No Way feat. Al Great, Eddie Numbers, Duce Wayne, Japiro, Lee Scholar, Greenspan – As #MFWG once noted, this is feel good music. Just everything, the beat from Heist, the rhymes. I tried to come at Fuze about the David Ruffin/Five Heartbeats line and he kindly put me in check. Ha!

24. W.W.J.D. feat. Tonio From Da Top and Freddie Mac – When I first heard this track, I had it on repeat throughout the day and still remains as one of my go to tracks when I need to get motivated. Each one brought something different to it, which makes it stand out.

In closing, this is a very solid effort that Fuze has put together. Whenever I listen, I tend to catch something that I might of missed before or listen to a favorite line a few times. This is what I mean by artists being hungry and not losing that hunger. Don’t rap just because you want a check, do it because you love the craft. CYS shows that. You can hear more music from Fuze at his site.
