Vivian Green – Under My Skin
Originally from Philadelphia, Vivian Green first caught listeners attention with her 2002 single, ‘Emotional Rollercoaster’ from her debut album ‘A Love Story.” After giving birth to her son, she came back on the scene in 2005 with the self-titled album, ‘Vivian’ which spawned the two singles ‘Gotta Go, Gotta Leave’ and ‘I Like It But I Don’t Need It’. Vivian is set to release a new album on April 6th, 2010 entitled, ‘Beautiful’. In addition to singing, she’s also a songwriter and actor. And have toured with artists such as Maxwell, Common, Anthony Hamilton, Chaka Khan and a host of others.
The song that is featured in today’s post is entitled, ‘Under My Skin’. Now when I first heard this track, I had to play it again since the message was so clear in her lyrics. To sum it up, she’s basically telling someone that she’s not going allow that person’s drama to ruin the great feeling that she has. So when you have that person that is constantly in your ear bringing that b dot s, let them know that this isn’t a battle that they won’t win.
